Three Weeks in Utah!

Fresh Tracks Farm, Berlin VT. Headgear sponsor this year!! Check out their website: www.freshtracksfarm.com

Back in Utah!! I just rolled back into Park City after being in Alaska for US Nationals. It is great to be back and the snow, though old and thin is really good on the cross country trails. Went for a birthday ski with Garrott Kuzzy and Matt Whitcomb at Sundance yesterday! So beautiful up there, and some of the most fun trails to ski. Really nice crowd up there too. I will be training here for 3 weeks, as I will not be going to U-23 Championships this year, as it is a lot of travel for right now. Here are a few catch up pics from Nationals in AK and a couple from SoHo too! Thanks to Ian Harvey for some of the race shots!!

Men's A Final in the classic sprint. The junior skiers were very impressive this week. Watch for great things at the World Junior and U-23 Championships in 2 weeks in Germany. These guys are ripping it up! # of juniors in men's A final: 3
Dartmouth and Team Green's Ida Sargent ripping it up in the classic sprint. Another one to watch at U23's. Really impressive classic sprinter.

Sun Valley's Kate Whitcomb skiing to a victory in the Women's B Final.

Perfect tracks and the view isn't half bad either.

Lindsey Williams qualifying

Kikkan Randall showing us all how it's done. Do not pass up the chance to watch
this lady rip it up. She is the real deal in every way.
Me during the 20K Classic race. Snowy, tough day for everyone. The goal: Be the toughest.

Me and Steve Mangan, an amazing cross country runner from New York. He was fresh off an outstanding running season and heading into his ski season. His coach, Bernie Gardner, was one of my hang out buddies in New Zealand this year. He is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met and it shows in his athletes as well.

Me in the 10K skate race skiing with Jamie Bronga from UAA.

Rebecca Dussault and Caitlin Compton decorating posters for Fast and Female

There were 280 girls who showed up for the event put on by Kikkan. It was an unbelievable turnout and everything went extremely smoothly and was really fun. One of the teams: Hot Pink.

Matt Whitcomb after a ski at Soldier Hollow a few days ago. Perfect conditions and temperatures, and nothing is better than feeling the sun on your face in the West after a long time away from it.

Thanks to Corinne Prevot, a Burke Alumni and Middlebury student who started Skida (the company who made the hat I am wearing!) for all her incredible support over the years. If you have not bought a hat or neck warmer from her yet, GET ON IT! They are the most comfortable and cool hats you will ever have. Her website is: www.skidasport.com. Check it out!
